Handcrafted in Seki City, Japan's 700-year-old center for samurai swords, Kanso knives embody a design principle based on Zen philosophy. Meaning "simplicity," the Kanso collection focuses on the essentials that make a knife superior. Featuring razor-sharp blades of high-carbon stainless steel, Kanso knives are constructed with a full tang for balance and precise cutting control. Contoured handles are made of tagayasan wood, the same material used for samurai sword handles. Like all Shun knives, Kanso is sharpened to 16 degrees on each side. The eight-inch chef's knife is the perfect length for preparing fruits, vegetables and proteins. The knife offers a wider heel and a flat profile perfect for push cuts. Its small belly allows for gently rocking the knife through herbs and spices for a fine mince.

Our returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
